Getting to know you in 5 questions:
1. Most Memorable Running Experience?
One of my most memorable races would have to be Ashby 20 way back in 2002 as part of London marathon training the day in question was weather wise horrible freezing cold snow showers and very windy from the gun a group of around ten or so Runner’s stuck together helping each other out everyone having a stint at the front until mile 15 then Everyman for himself I eventually finished in 10th in 2.04
2. If you could compete in any event tomorrow, what would it be?
Hands down fell relays navigation leg with jonsey
3. Favourite Local Running Route?
Pretty much anywhere in the peaks most probably black rocks/ wirksworth area and locally Shipley Park is a cracking spot for running.
4. Best bit of advice to new runners?
Start steady, don’t run before you can walk and enjoy it. And join a running club.
5. What got you into Running?
It was always something I’d done until beer woman and fags took over. When I was about 19 I decided to give it another bash. Then I was fast approaching 30. Been a member of Ripley RC now for 24 years and loved every minute of it. I have also met some truly amazing people.
